Mounting onto smooth surfaces

If you want a sign with a sleek and uniform appearance, we can make them without drill holes. This is ideal if you are unable to drill into your chosen surface such as a metal mailbox.

Mounting requirements for smooth surfaces

All that is needed to mount onto surfaces such as metal or glass are two strips of 3M VHB (very high bonding) double-sided tape. When you select ‘Smooth Surface’ on the customization page, the tape will be included in your order.

Mounting onto smooth surfaces

  • Peel off the backing on one side of the tape and place it onto the sign. Repeat for both strips.
  • Place the sign on the wall and with a pencil, mark where it should be placed.
  • Check the straightness with a spirit level. 
  • Peel off the remaining backing and press the sign onto the wall for 30-60 seconds until the sign is held evenly in place.
