A Danish icon:
Our Engelhardt collection revives the lost style of this Danish design pioneer. Englehardt’s monochrome aesthetic, iconic typefaces, and visual identity form the makeup of our Engelhard collection of modern black house numbers.
Who is Engelhardt?
Apart from being the first Danish industrial designer to become famous, Engelhardt was also a talented graphic designer. His typefaces and signage designs are the inspiration behind this collection. He was commissioned by the Gentofte municipality to name and create signage for the local area which resulted in the creation of his iconic and recognizable style. Just look out for the heart dotting every letter “I”- that was his signature touch and a play on his name.
Engelhardt was a functionalist, believing that quality materials and carefully researched ergonomics should be incorporated into everything that gets produced. We have updated these principles for the 20th century, providing functional house signage and name plaques with a carefully thought-out design

Practical, long-lasting black modern house numbers
Celebrating RAMSIGN’s Danish roots, this collection embraces Engelhardt’s philosophy of ‘Function first, aesthetics after’. Before there was a concept of Danish design, Engelhardt was trailblazing his way to success as an industrial designer, sparking a revolution in Denmark.
A vertical house number plaque that suits any home
