Mounting onto Masonry

Masonry is the term used to describe brick, tile, stone, or concrete. This surface requires special fixtures which are sent with the sign.

The masonry mounting kit

When you select the ‘Mounting Kit for Masonry’ option you will be sent a kit that includes 4 long screws, 4 nylon washers, and 4 nylon plugs. This ensures that the right materials are used to hang your sign. In addition to this you will require: 

  • A drill
  • A hammer
  • A screwdriver
  • A marker pen

Mounting your sign onto masonry

While this surface requires a few more steps than others, it is still very easy to mount your sign.

  • Place your sign onto the surface and check the straightness with a spirit level
  • Mark the drill holes with a pen
  • Drill the holes and check that the long screws fit in place.
  • Place the wall plugs into the holes and tap them into place using a hammer.
  • Position the sign over the holes. Add washers the screws and screw the sign into place making sure that the washers sit between the screw head and the sign.
  • Don’t over-tighten the screws as this may damage the sign.
