When correctly produced and mounted, porcelain enameled signs are known to have a lifespan exceeding 100 years. In fact they have the ability to persevere the changing seasons of centuries, without any degradation whatsoever. But why?

A porcelain enameled sign consists of a sheet of steel which is coated with porcelain enamel. It is made by fusing powdered glass to a steel plate by firing in a ceramic kiln at temperatures between 750-850°C (1,380 and 1,560 °F). The glass powder melts, flows, and then hardens to a smooth, durable vitreous coating.

Ramsign’s enamels are especially formulated for high durability. For this reason Ramsign’s enamel signs are weatherproof, corrosion resistant, color-fast, scratch and wear resistant, graffiti proof, and dirt repellent. This makes them extremely hardy and significantly more durable than any other signs.

There are 3 mounting kits, each suitable for different surfaces. You should choose the right mounting kit when ordering your sign.

How to select the mounting kit when ordering your sign
1. Go to the product page for the sign you want to order (for example the DANSBORG HOUSE NUMBER)

The 3 different mounting kits are described below.

Mounting Kit 1: Short screws for woodwork

Choose this mounting kit for mounting on wooden walls, doors, gates, fences, posts and other woodwork. The kit contains four solid brass screws (3 x 13 mm) and is ideal for traditional mounting. Over time, the brass screws will patinate beautifully.

Mounting Kit 2: Long screws for masonry

Choose this mounting kit for mounting on brick, stone, plaster and concrete structures. The kit contains four solid brass screws (3 x 27 mm), four nylon washers (9 mm) and four nylon anchors/plugs (5 x 25 mm). The kit is ideal for traditional mounting. Over time, the brass screws will patinate beautifully.


Mounting Kit 3: Tape for a smooth surface Choose this mounting kit for mounting a flat sign on a flat, smooth surface if you want a discreet and durable solution without the use of screws. The kit consists of 3M VHB (Very High Bonding) double-sided tape. The solution is ideal for mounting on your mailbox, vehicle or boat, as the sign can be removed without leaving any holes.

Mounting Instructions
To avoid damaging your sign use only the included Ramsign-certified mounting materials. Using other mounting materials may cause damage to your sign. Please DO NOT tighten the screws as the pressure can damage the enamel. The screw head should not even touch the enamel. Only if extra protection is relevant for your sign, four nylon washers are included. One washer should be placed directly under each screw head prior to mounting the sign. Faulty mounting may cause irreparable damage, which is not covered by any warranties.

All our products are sent by letter (Standard Post) unless you opt for parcel delivery (priority post with tracking number). In most cases, the letter will fit into your mailbox so you don't need to be home to receive it. Standard delivery is charged at $9.75 (Europe) $14.83 (North America) and $19.83 (Other regions) regardless of how many items you order. Free standard home delivery on orders over $150. In-stock house numbers ship the same business day. All other products ship within 4 weeks. For standard post the shipping time is 1-5 business days (Europe), 8-12 business days (North America) and 12-15 business days (all other regions) subject to local conditions.

Expedited Delivery
If you are in a rush we can send your product expedited with a courier service (DHL / FedEx / UPS). Choose “Expedited” delivery in check out. Expedited delivery is charged at $151.34 to North America regardless of how many items you order.

Satisfaction Guarantee
You have the right to return any goods within 60 days of the receipt, and we will reimburse the full price paid, excl. delivery, regardless of the reason for the return.

Lifetime Warranty
In the unlikely event that the product should fail due to faulty manufacture at any point of time during your entire lifetime, you are entitled to a free replacement.

Returns
We stand by the quality of our products and we will immediately rectify the situation if you receive any faulty or damaged product. In the case that you receive an incorrect or damaged product, you are entitled to a free replacement. You must contact us through our contact form within 60 days of the receipt, for instructions on how to proceed. We may require that you return the product to us, but often a photo will suffice. We will, of course, refund your shipping costs in the event that we need the product to be returned to us.
